Hi, I’m John
Sociable, playful, and active, John is a fun-loving pup who loves to make friends with both people and dogs alike!
This very sweet pup is John!
John started life like many street dogs in Thailand, being a free roaming and adventurous puppy! At first, John felt at ease living with his mother, who had grown up on the streets, and his siblings. He also had the luxury of a local feeder regularly providing his little family with food, so they needn’t worry about starving.
Unfortunately, this all changed in an instant: John became over-excited at the prospect of food one day and he darted across the busy road without a second thought. Sadly, John didn’t make it across and collided with an oncoming vehicle. Now John was just one of the countless street dogs involved in road traffic accidents each day.
John’s feeder saw this unfold before her eyes and she acted immediately, rushing John into our care.
Best foot forward
On assessment at the vet clinic, John was found to be paralysed. In order to give John a long and happy life, immediate surgery was needed so the Jai team stepped into action!
John’s surgery was a huge success: soon afterwards he began to regain use of his back legs and quickly he was running and playing with all the other puppies again!
Now, John is ready for the next milestone: to find his perfect home!
Ready to adopt John?
To look at him now, you wouldn’t think he’d had such a traumatic ordeal. John is testament to the resilience of rescue dogs and shows just how amazing they are!
John spends his day enjoying the company of his playmates in the sunshine – he loves chasing and playing with the other dogs and is an active boy! John has a slight limp on his back leg but this doesn’t hold him back from running around, although his limp likely will remain for his whole life. His unique trot makes us smile everyday!
He is also equally as happy to say hello to new people and his wagging tail and cheeky personality keeps the whole team laughing. John could live with other dogs, or he’d also be happy to have lots of human attention instead.
At just over a year old, John has been through a lot in his short life, but he has so much more of his story yet to tell… and that’s where you come in!
Am I your perfect match?
So you’ve read the details, you’ve fallen in love, and now you’d like to adopt? We don’t blame you…you’re only human after all!
The first step in the adoption process is to complete an adoption form. This will give us all the information we need to make a match and see if the dog that’s caught your eye is the right fit for you.
Are you ready?
